Cheeklaw Veterinary Centre in Duns is a leading centre for equine and farm animal treatment and surgery, which also incorporates facilities for small animal consultation and minor procedures.  Opened in January 2000, this facility was a conversion of an existing building on the Station Road Business Park, initially providing a small and large animal base. In 2001 the equine clinic was completed to provide an operating theatre, diagnostic facilities, in-house treatment and aftercare.
 
 
Duns Reception Duns Reception - provides areas for pet appointments as well as an area for collection of medicines for horses and farm animals.
Duns Waiting roomWaiting Room - The waiting room provides a comfortable waiting area and has a number of pet products to browse.

Duns Treatment Room  Treatment Room - The treatment room provides both a second consulting room and a facility for minor proceedures.

Duns Examination Area  Examination Area - The equine examination area is an indoor area with a rubber floor and wall. The equine padded stocks provides a safe area for equine dentistry, examinations, minor treatments and obstetrical proceedures.

 Duns Trot-up Track

  Trot-up track - This is a valuable aid to examinations for soundness and is also used in lameness workups.
Duns Knock Down / X-Ray Box  Knock Down / X-Ray Box - This is a  padded box with a firm padded floor. It is used daily for x-ray examinations and other diagnostic techniques. It also has a custom designed shape for anaesthetic induction prior to surgery.
Duns Large Animal Theatre  Large Animal Theatre - This area has been specifically designed to provide optimal conditions and full facilities for many equine surgical techniques.  Granite resin floor and hygiene resin coated walls provide improved sterility. Equine double padded fully adjustable table allows high comfort and good positioning. Gaseous anaesthetics and monitoring equipment provide high quality care.
Duns Recovery Box  Recovery Box - is a heavily padded box with a soft floor and blocked corners. It has infrared heating and both red and white lights.  This provides a safe quite and secure environment for horses to recover post surgery.
