Farm Visits
Most farm work is pre-arranged and includes fertility, disease monitoring and sampling.

Emergency Visits
We take pride in running a 24 hour a day, 365 days a year, genuine emergency service for calvings, accidents, disease outbreaks and all farm animal disasters. All our on call vets carry pre-sterilised surgery kits for caesarian sections and other emercency operations. We are in contact with the emergency service by both phones and pagers to provide the most rapid response possible. The emergency (out of hours) number is 07000 785 333

Government Work (DEFRA)
All of our farm vets are Local Veterinary Inspectors (LVI) for the department of environment, food and rural affairs (DEFRA). This involves routine monitoring for infectious disease such as Tuberculosis, Brucellosis and Anthrax. Export and import inspections and certification and monitoring for exotic diseases such as bluetongue.

Farm Newsletters and Meetings
We produce a monthly farm newsletter to help keep our clients up to date withe the current disease situation, new products and of course the ever changing and increasing legislation. A sample of our recent newsletters can be downloaded below. We have regular seasonal meetings with groups of farmers on topical subjects such as pneumonia or bluetongue where we invite knowledgeable speakers to give the most up to date information on one or more diseases. While we do receive some sponsorship for the meetings we try to hire and pay for the best independent speakers to give a balanced view.
